Spotlight on expanded product palette and international activities / TER HELL PLASTIC obtains company-wide certification

Friedrichshafen / Herne, Germany, October 13, 2009 - The FAKUMA Plastics Tradeshow has become the second most important tradeshow in Germany for TER HELL PLASTIC GmbH (THPL) along with "K" in Düsseldorf. As part of its European activities, the company is looking forward to the opportunity to showcase its multifaceted distribution program as well as its most advanced proprietary TEREZ^® compounds in Hall B 1 / Booth 1206.

Sales of flexible polyolefins from LUCOBIT TER HELL PLASTIC recently started selling the multifaceted product offering from Lucobit AG in Austria and Switzerland. These are mostly high-quality specialty plastics based on flexible polyolefins (FPO). These products are primarily used in insulation technologies, asphalt and bitumen modification as well as additional applications such as profiles, coatings, plastic films, cables or foams.

Lucobit entered the market as an independent company ten years ago with the motto "New perspectives for thermoplastic polyolefins." Founded by BASF and Shell, the company has positioned itself on the European market as an independent producer of ECB, PE and TPE materials. Its continuously expanding product palette today includes a total of four product lines for numerous applications and a variety of processing technologies. In addition to a wide selection of materials, the manufacturer also offers its customers a comprehensive service program, ranging from technology consulting to transportation logistics. An independent and flexible company, Lucobit has an expansive sales network and appreciates having found a strong partner in TER HELL PLASTIC for the markets in Austria and Switzerland.

TER HELL PLASTIC company-wide certification
The fact that quality is a primary concern for TER HELL PLASTIC is appreciated by all customers who have worked with the company specializing in Distribution, Compounding, Recycling and Trade. It's finally official: The last German subsidiary of the polymer specialists, TER HELL PLASTIC Sales East GMBH in Scharfenstein, Germany, received its certification this year. The testing institute in charge was DQS GmbH, in Frankfurt/Main, Germany. That event delivered official proof that all areas of TER HELL PLASTIC operate under the prescribed requirements and processes of Norm ISO 9001 - 2000 (certificate at www.terhell.de). Of course TER HELL PLASTIC does not intend to rest on its laurels! The Herne group's goal for 2010 is to obtain certification for the company and all of its subsidiaries as per the most recent quality assurance version, ISO 9001 - 2008.
